Our polyethylene liners are mono-layer membranes. They consist of
very flexible material which is linear low-density polyethylene.
They are not as flexible as EPDM liners but they are the most common
for use in larger applications. These liners have high elongation
and bursting strength, as well as tear resistance. They contain a
minimum carbon content of 2.5%, which provides protection from UV
rays and damaging weather. There are no plasticizers added, which
have a tendency to come to the surface and age a liner quickly. They
are made from virgin resins.
20 mil. liner can come in a single
piece of up to 50,000 square feet, and the 30 mil liner can come in
pieces up to 27,000 square feet. The total weight of any single
piece can not exceed 5,500 pounds, however more than one piece can
be field seamed by professionals. Field seaming is not a normal
landscape contractor job.
